I can’t wait to see the final plot twist you spoke of that has to be seen to be believed. I liked the first Death Race movies, so I did have to add DR3 to my Blockbuster @Home rental service from DISH. I found out about Blockbuster because a co-worker of mine at DISH pointed out to me how it’s better to rent movies for a flat monthly fee instead of always buying them new. I’ve had Blockbuster for a while now and I use it mainly for movies and video games, but like how I can also stream movies to my TV as well, all for the same low monthly fee.

I’ve been stressed due to the holidays, so it completely slipped my radar that Finding Nemo was re-released. Now that a co-worker at DISH informed me that it was, I’ll definitely put this movie at the top of my Blockbuster@Home queue list. I’m sure my kids will enjoy it along with the new special features the discs have like the aquariums and the deleted scenes. I like Blockbuster because I can rent games and movies, access online content, and stream movies straight to my TV. Blockbuster saves me tons of money in the long run.

Thanks for sharing the review! I think it might have been
that I had high expectations for this movie, but honestly I didn’t enjoy it as
much as I thought I would have. Sure, there were a few laughs I had along the
way, but they were nothing in comparison to how funny the guy I work with at
DISH thought this movie was. I definitely agree with you about the supporting
cast though, because most of those laughs I did encounter were either from Jason
Sudekis or Dylan McDermott, and because of them I’d probably watch this again.
It’s definitely not a movie I consider purchase-worthy though, so I’m very glad
I didn’t go out and splurge on it. I instead saved my money and rented it with
my Blockbuster @Home package through DISH. That was a good call on my end,
because I would have been extremely disappointed!

Great review Rebecca! I haven't seen this film just yet, but
I am very glad to hear there is a back-story to it in addition to the dancing.
I had no idea it was based off of Channing's past experiences either, so that's
definitely pretty interesting! I did want to see this one in theaters, but
unfortunately I missed it due to my busy work schedule at DISH. That's okay
though, because it's finally out on DVD and I can rent it with my Blockbuster
@Home package. I've added it to the top of my queue, and in Blu-ray since it
doesn't cost me anything. I might just have to invite a few of my girlfriends
over for this watch; I’m pretty excited after all the great reviews I’ve been
reading! :)

Thanks for the review Rebecca. It sounds like this was not
your favorite movie, but usually if Cruise is in a film I will end up watching
it anyway. He knows how to embody a character and puts so much passion into his
performance. I’m always interested in seeing a love it or hate it movie,
especially with a good cast. I’ve been good about not
reading too much of the story, so I don’t spoil it for myself, and coworkers of
mine from DISH have said that this is exactly the type of movie I love.
My passion for buying movies is sweet and sour like the drama behind the
camera; I love the smell of a new Blu-ray, it’s an addicting, but expensive
habit. The decision to start renting from Blockbuster @Home has given me the
freedom to save a lot of money, but the best part is that I’ve tripled the
amount of movies I can afford to watch in a month.

I do like movies that star Peter Weller for the action and entertainment value. I haven’t seen The Dark Knight Returns yet, but I did however add it to my Blockbuster@Home queue. What I wanted to know was the impact on the source, the farmers who grow the chiles. I wanted to hear from them, not just the ivory tower of the university, which is valuable in decades-long studies and the like, but it shouldn't have been everything to this documentary.

Hmm-m, I'll have to watch it again but I thought Chris Dudley did capture some of the impact GMO chile would have on the common people of New Mexico who revere their chile. I learned so much and his documentary led me to several more on the subject of genetically modified foods and the terrorizing business practices of the Monsanto monster both in our country and other countries where they have been allowed to get a foothold.

The third to last paragraph of this review says that "Warner Archive has included all 22 first season episodes, as well as both pilot movies (until now, “Such Dust as Dreams are Made on” had been very hard to find) on their six DVD set." Actually, the second pilot, "Smile Jenny, You're Dead," is NOT included with this set. "Smile Jenny..." was released on DVD by Warner Archive on its own a while back, and is available for purchase individually.
